We are working on behalf of a highly established building services contractor delivering technically interesting mechanical projects across Oxfordshire, London and surrounding areas.
We are looking to speak with experienced Mechanical Site Managers / Mechanical Supervisors with a strong background in heating, plumbing and mechanical building services.
This is a hands-on site management role suited to someone who understands mechanical installations, can confidently manage people and subcontractors and takes ownership of delivering work to a high standard.
The role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of mechanical works on site, including:
- Managing and coordinating direct labour and subcontractors
- Overseeing heating, plumbing and mechanical installations
- Working from drawings, specifications and project programmes
- Monitoring programme, progress and quality
- Planning labour, materials and plant requirements
- Liaising with clients, main contractors and internal project teams
- Identifying and resolving technical and site issues
- Managing health & safety and RAMS
- Supporting testing, commissioning and handover
- Maintaining accurate site records and progress reports
- What we’re looking for
- Previous Mechanical Site Manager / Mechanical Supervisor experience
- Strong heating and plumbing background
- Good technical knowledge of mechanical building services
- Experience working on commercial and/or high-end residential projects
- Strong practical understanding of mechanical installations
- CSCS
- SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent within Plumbing & Heating / Mechanical Services advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
