Mechanical Engineer
Location:Northamptonshire-NN7
Salary: £44,000 per annum + Overtime
Shift: Days only-
- 07:30 - 17:30 with 1 hr lunch
- 7.5 hrs @basic rate
- 1.5 hrs @1.5 x basic rate
Key Responsibilities
- Fault finding, servicing, and repairing production machinery and plant systems.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Maintaining conveyors, elevators, grinders, weighing equipment, and rotating machinery.
- Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Testing plant services using measurement and diagnostic equipment.
Requirements
- Recognised apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
Desirable
- Mechanical bias with electrical and pneumatic experience.
- Food manufacturing experience.
