Pay: £17.00 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance) - Non-negotiable
Shifts: Rotating weekly 6:00am - 2:00pm, 2:00pm - 10:00pm
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator to join a busy manufacturing team based in Normanton, Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled sheet metal professional looking for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake machinery, producing high-quality components while ensuring all work meets engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
The Role:
- Set up and operate Amada CNC Press Brakes
- Produce components accurately from engineering drawings and specifications
- Carry out machine adjustments and tooling changes
- Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
- Work with a variety of sheet metal materials and thicknesses
- Use measuring equipment to maintain accuracy and quality
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules while maintaining high standards
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience operating CNC Press Brakes (Amada experience preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience working within a sheet metal fabrication environment
- Good understanding of measuring equipment and quality inspection standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Reliable, hardworking, and positive attitude
- Ability to work alternating shift patterns
