We are currently recruiting for a Process Engineer on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in improving manufacturing performance, driving process optimisation, and supporting continuous improvement activity across production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes, increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and ensuring processes remain safe, reliable, and consistent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimise manufacturing and machining processes to improve efficiency and output
- Support tooling selection, cutting performance and process reliability improvements
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures and manufacturing documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, downtime and operational costs
- Analyse production and process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Support equipment trials, commissioning activities and process validation
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality and Supply Chain teams
- Ensure processes remain compliant with health and safety standards and safe working practices
- Provide technical support across manufacturing operations as required
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience within a Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role
- Background within manufacturing, industrial engineering, machining or metal processing environments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with continuous improvement and process optimisation
- Understanding of health and safety within manufacturing environments
- Ability to create and maintain SOPs and process documentation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
