This is a late shift position, either from 12pm-8pm or 1pm-9pm (TBC). The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and programming our wood machinery, including CNC and 5-axis Router to produce parts for assembly into finished units for retailers and brands. The role will require translating programmes into high-quality output, with accuracy and in line with production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate wood machinery, such as CNC, Router, Beam Saw and Edge bander.
- Interpret technical drawings and manufacturing data to produce parts.
- Set up tooling, calibrate machinery, and monitor production runs to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Work closely with the design and engineering teams to optimise CNC programs and production flow.
- Ensure that materials are available for jobs and liaise with purchasing as to their due dates where required.
- Book finished job tickets on the system and move goods to their next location in the building.
- Communicate issues, quality concerns, shortages, material problems etc quickly and clearly.
- Perform quality checks on finished products using basic maths to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Ensure all products meet fire safety and quality compliance standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
