PCB Assembler/Technician required to work for electronics manufacturer in Woking.

Daily Duties:

  • Assembling and configuring PCB assemblies in line with production schedules and product-specific requirements.
  • Identifying component requirements and raising purchase requisitions to ensure parts availability.
  • Checking stock levels and modifying boards to the correct revision where required.
  • Fault finding and repairing PCB assemblies down to component level.
  • Supporting demand through Kanban call-off systems with parts suppliers.
  • Checking goods received to ensure correct parts, quantities, revision status, labelling, and packaging.
  • Escalating supplier, quality, or production issues when required.
  • Setting up and maintaining PCB storage systems, tooling, and production equipment.
  • Managing parts collection, labelling, and preparation to fulfil customer spares orders.
  • Using ERP systems to generate work plans, manufacturing orders, parts lists, and shipping documentation.
  • Ensuring finished products are cleaned, labelled, marked, and packed to a high standard.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised workplace in line with 6S principles.
  • Providing support to other production areas when required.

Required Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in PCB assembly, rework, and fault finding.
  • Strong soldering skills, ideally to IPC 610 standards.
  • Experience fault finding electronics to component level.
  • Exposure to high-power switch-mode power supplies.
  • Understanding of engineering change control and version management.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage varying workloads.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-focused approach.
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a production environment.
  • Computer literate, with experience using ERP systems and barcode scanning.

Additional Info:

  • Mon - Fri 37.5 hours per week / 8am - 4pm or 7am - 3pm with an early finish on Fridays.
  • 26 days holiday plus 8 days bank holiday.
