We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Kettering. This is a primarily workshop-based role, ideal for a mechanically skilled engineer with strong machining, refurbishment, and maintenance experience.
The Role
- Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
- Perform lathe work and machining activities to manufacture, modify, and refurbish components.
- Repair and refurbish plant equipment including pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, shafts and rollers.
- Operate workshop machinery including lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
About You
- Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Previous experience within manufacturing, maintenance, or workshop environments.
- Experience operating manual lathes and other workshop machinery.
- Experience supporting breakdowns, planned maintenance, and engineering projects.
