Position: Machine Setting Operator
Salary: £12.75 - £13.75 per hour
Location: Huntingdon
Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business based in Huntingdon. Due to rapid company expansion and an ever-growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Machine Operator to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the site's function is well maintained throughout this new and exciting influx of work.
Machine Operators required to work for a manufacturing company based in Huntingdon, immediate starts available for the right candidates.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate various machines to ensure proper functionality and safety
- Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Make sure the equipment is in optimal condition by doing routine maintenance checks
- Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications
- Keep track of production statistics and notify supervisors of any problems or hold-ups
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures
- When required, help with machine setup and adjustment
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Job Qualifications:
- A high school degree or its equivalent is required; technical training or certification is preferred
- Prior experience using machinery in a production setting
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical abilities
- Fundamental knowledge of safety rules and guidelines
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills
- Outstanding teamwork and communication abilities
Other:
- Hours - 6:30am - 6:30pm or 6:30pm to 6:30am
- Pay - £12.75 dayshift or £13.75 nightshift
