Test Technician urgently required to work for a leading manufacturing company based near Woking. We are looking for experienced Technicians with a positive attitude to learning who can develop and enhance skills further.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and delivering in test activities following instructions and processes to ensure technology is delivered effectively, efficiently, on-time, to specification and in a cost-effective manner.
  • Performing/preparing test activities during product manufacturing.
  • Providing electronics assembly inspection support.
  • Using standard bench top test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, etc.
  • Fault finding electronic circuits and assemblies to component level.
  • Following and communicating understanding of test procedures, processes and technical documentation.
  • Working autonomously within established procedures and practices.
  • Maintaining manufacturing documentation to achieve full standards of traceability.
  • Testing equipment 'Plug and Play'.
  • Reading from manufacturing drawings.
  • Assembling electromechanical equipment with the help of basic hand tools and following through work instruction/schematics.
  • Keen in learning new skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Good GCSE grades or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • ONC, HNC or equivalent in an electronic discipline essential.
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant IPC standards.
  • General understanding of industry standards and regulations to ensure guidelines are followed and machinery and equipment are operated safely.
  • Proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job expertise.
  • Good attention to detail to maintain or exceed high levels of production/test standards and efficiency.
  • Ability to fully contribute to the process of continuous improvements.
  • Comprehensive understanding of working in a similar high technology environment.
