Test Technician urgently required to work for a leading manufacturing company based near Woking. We are looking for experienced Technicians with a positive attitude to learning who can develop and enhance skills further.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and delivering in test activities following instructions and processes to ensure technology is delivered effectively, efficiently, on-time, to specification and in a cost-effective manner.
- Performing/preparing test activities during product manufacturing.
- Providing electronics assembly inspection support.
- Using standard bench top test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, etc.
- Fault finding electronic circuits and assemblies to component level.
- Following and communicating understanding of test procedures, processes and technical documentation.
- Working autonomously within established procedures and practices.
- Maintaining manufacturing documentation to achieve full standards of traceability.
- Testing equipment 'Plug and Play'.
- Reading from manufacturing drawings.
- Assembling electromechanical equipment with the help of basic hand tools and following through work instruction/schematics.
- Keen in learning new skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Good GCSE grades or equivalent in English and Maths.
- ONC, HNC or equivalent in an electronic discipline essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant IPC standards.
- General understanding of industry standards and regulations to ensure guidelines are followed and machinery and equipment are operated safely.
- Proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job expertise.
- Good attention to detail to maintain or exceed high levels of production/test standards and efficiency.
- Ability to fully contribute to the process of continuous improvements.
- Comprehensive understanding of working in a similar high technology environment.
