The Quality Engineer will play a key role in supporting and developing the site's quality function, driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes, products and quality standards. The role will be responsible for maintaining robust quality assurance and control systems while ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and ISO requirements.
Working closely with Engineering, Production, Suppliers and Customers, the Quality Engineer will provide technical quality support throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, from design and prototype through to production and final product delivery.
The role will involve developing, implementing and maintaining quality assurance and control processes, defining inspection and testing requirements, analysing production and quality data, and identifying opportunities to improve product quality, reliability and manufacturing performance.
The Quality Engineer will also contribute to engineering and product development activities by providing quality input during design reviews, supporting root-cause investigations and ensuring appropriate quality requirements are incorporated into manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for the production team regarding product quality issues, including mechanical fit, manufacturing processes and electronic component specifications.
Investigate product and process quality issues, implementing effective containment actions and ensuring robust, long-term corrective and preventive actions are established.
Conduct root-cause analysis and develop appropriate corrective action plans to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
Prepare regular quality reports and provide accurate updates to the Quality Manager and relevant internal stakeholders.
Proactively analyse production and quality data to identify trends, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
Develop, monitor and report key quality performance indicators and recommend corrective actions where required.
Provide technical quality support and guidance to Engineering and Production teams to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with defined specifications and quality standards. xgikmsk
