Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
Salary: £30,000 per annum + monthly bonus + annual performance bonuses (earning potential around £35,000+)
We are currently seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Workshop Assembler to join a specialist engineering team based in East London. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled assembler with a strong mechanical and electrical background to work on high-quality, precision-built equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete assembly, testing, and quality checking of specialist products, ensuring they meet strict technical and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble complex mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment from start to finish
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Carry out testing, adjustments, and inspections on completed builds
- Complete production records, quality documents, and testing reports
- Identify and report faults with components or assembly processes
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
- Work closely with the wider production team to achieve targets
- Support continuous improvement activities and process development
- Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical assembly
- Ability to understand and work from engineering drawings and instructions
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical test equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good organisational skills with accurate documentation practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Engineering qualification (Level 2/3 Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing)
- Engineering apprenticeship background
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Engineering Manufacture or Performing Engineering Operations
