Electromechanical Assembly / Build Technicians Required West London
About the Role
A high-tech engineering company is looking for temporary Electromechanical Assembly / Build Technicians required on a contract basis support an upcoming production and delivery milestone.
This is a hands-on workshop-based role focused on assembling and integrating complex electromechanical equipment. We are looking for practical, detail-oriented engineers with experience assembling sophisticated hardware such as automation equipment, electric vehicles, industrial machinery, or similar technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble complex electromechanical systems from engineering drawings, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Carry out electrical wiring and harness work, including precision crimping, routing, and soldering.
- Integrate and wire low-voltage DC systems, electric motors, motor controllers, and sensors.
- Use standard hand and power tools to achieve high levels of precision and quality.
- Work closely with the wider engineering team in a fast-paced, hands-on workshop environment.
- Follow engineering documentation, assembly processes, and quality requirements throughout the build.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance, or a related discipline - or equivalent demonstrable practical experience.
- Proven experience in the electromechanical assembly of complex systems, such as automation equipment, EVs, industrial machinery, robotics, or similar technology.
- Practical experience with wiring harnesses, crimping, soldering, cable routing, and low-voltage DC systems.
- Experience integrating motors, sensors, controllers, and associated electrical components.
- Strong ability to independently read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
- Confident use of hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
- Comfortable working in a small, collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.
Location & Hours
- Workplace: 100% on-site at a West London engineering workshop.
- Start: Immediate / ASAP.
- Hours: Full-time workshop hours.
