We are currently recruiting for a Production Planner to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with planning or manufacturing coordination experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and wants to play a key role in keeping operations running efficiently.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing work orders, supporting material planning, and ensuring production priorities are met across manufacturing and conversion operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage production work orders through the manufacturing process
  • Schedule and release work orders in line with production capacity and customer demand
  • Prepare manufacturing documentation, drawings and production paperwork
  • Monitor raw material availability to support uninterrupted production
  • Review and maintain BOM data, identifying and correcting any planning discrepancies
  • Support engineering changes and updates within manufacturing processes
  • Work closely with Production, Purchasing and Logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow and on-time dispatch
  • Communicate production priorities and progress clearly during daily operational meetings
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement activities across planning and manufacturing operations

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a Production Planning, Materials Planning or Manufacturing Coordination role
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently when required
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow
  • Previous stock control or warehouse exposure would be beneficial but not essential
  • Positive and proactive approach with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
