Assembly Technicians Required in Dorking - Immediate Starts Available.
Key Authorities and Responsibilities:
- To be able to read and understand engineering drawings for sub-assemblies, taking note of fitting tolerances and critical dimensions.
- Working to drawings and build instructions, be able to build complex assemblies with up to 150 components on a bill of materials.
- An awareness of how to fault find and determine cause of failure or issues, to develop a solution.
- Have a keen eye for detail, being able to identify contaminants in a built assembly that would cause the instrument to fail under test.
- To be able to work efficiently with an eye to continuous improvement, trying to save time and increase output.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Ability:
- Be a self-starter that can work independently towards set targets and goals.
- Attention to detail.
- Be organised in working process, having an awareness of 5S systems.
- Is a hands-on problem solver.
- Able to work with Microsoft products (Excel, Outlook).
- To be able to work safely, following risk assessments, H&S guidance and best practice.
- At least 5 years' experience in the field of engineering required.
- Experience with Insinga.
- Knowledge and experience of Manual lathe.
- Skills akin to a tool maker for one-off orders in addition to bulk orders.
- Ability to use measuring tools i.e., micrometre, digital caliper.
Normal working hours: 07.00 to 15.30 Monday to Thursday, 07.00 to 12.00 Friday, 30 mins lunch, 20 days paid leave per annum, plus 8 statutory bank holidays. (Option to start at 06.00 and finish earlier each day). Company pension contribution 3% of basic salary and non-contributory health cash plan.
