We are currently looking for a Despatch / Picker Packer to work for a company based in Brickhill (Milton Keynes).
Job Summary: Responsible for the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing goods. You will manage deliveries, prepare shipments, check documentation, and keep things moving smoothly across the warehouse. This role is critical to ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Goods In: Receive deliveries and unload vehicles safely. Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies. Check items against delivery notes or purchase orders. Record deliveries accurately in the system. Move stock to designated storage locations.
- Goods Out: Pick and pack goods according to dispatch schedules. Prepare and label shipments for courier or transport collection. Load goods securely for despatch. Complete all relevant paperwork and update tracking systems. Communicate with internal teams and carriers for smooth order fulfilment.
- General Duties: Maintain a clean, safe working environment. Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet trucks, forklifts - if licensed). Report any issues with stock, deliveries, or safety hazards. Support stock checks and audits as needed. Follow company policies and health & safety procedures.
Skills & Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred. Good attention to detail and accuracy. Able to work in a fast-paced setting. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Physically fit and capable of manual handling. Basic computer literacy (for stock systems or scanners).
Desirable: Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach). Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday
