Job Role: Weapons Engineer
Location: Bristol - Hybrid (2-3 days on-site)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Proactive are currently in search of multiple experienced Weapons Engineers to start work for a client in Bristol. This is a permanent position offering ample opportunities for progression and development. The ideal candidate will have come from a defence or service background looking to take the next step in their career.
The Weapons Systems Engineer supports the design, integration, testing and through-life support of complex weapons or combat systems. Depending on the project, the role may cover electronic systems, sensors, communications interfaces, system performance or engineering verification.
Key responsibilities
- Review system requirements and technical specifications.
- Support the integration of equipment and subsystems.
- Investigate technical faults and performance issues.
- Develop or review test procedures and engineering reports.
- Participate in trials, verification and validation activities.
- Maintain technical records and contribute to engineering assurance.
- Coordinate with software, electrical, mechanical and systems engineering teams.
Experience and skills sought
- Understanding of complex equipment and subsystem integration.
- Weapons engineering, electronic engineering or systems engineering experience.
- Experience in testing, maintenance, troubleshooting or technical assurance.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and produce clear documentation.
- Security clearance where required by the project.
