About the Role
We are seeking experienced Contract Maintenance Engineers to join a manufacturing facility located on the East London / Essex border. These are long-term contract opportunities for engineers with a proven background maintaining machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. There are currently two positions available with different shift patterns.
- Position 1
Shift Pattern: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off
Rate: £40 per hour - Position 2
Shift Pattern: Rotating Monday to Friday Shifts
6:00am - 2:00pm
2:00pm - 10:00pm
10:00pm - 6:00am
Rate: £40 per hour

Key Duties
- Planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Diagnosing and repairing production machinery
- Ensuring maximum equipment uptime
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining health and safety standards across the site
Requirements
- Mechanical or Electrical qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Experience maintaining production or factory machinery
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Multi-skilled engineers are preferred
