Hours: Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5pm, Friday 7.45am-4pm (flexibility required)

Salary: £30,000-£32,000 depending on experience, plus quarterly discretionary bonus (post-probation)

Job Summary

As an Internal Sales Executive (Associate Level), you will play a key role in driving sales growth through proactive customer engagement, managing inbound enquiries, and developing your own customer portfolio. This is a fast-paced, office-based role that requires strong communication skills, excellent organisation, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. You will support the wider sales team, maintain accurate CRM records, and represent at exhibitions and industry events. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and company growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Customer Engagement
    • Act as the first point of contact for inbound sales enquiries via phone and email.
    • Make proactive outbound calls to existing customers and new prospects to promote.
    • Build and maintain a personal portfolio of customers, acting as their primary point of contact.
    • Understand customer needs and provide accurate product information and quotations.
    • Support the wider sales team in achieving departmental targets and business objectives.
  • Lead Generation & Business Development
    • Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through research, cold calling, and lead follow-up.
    • Re-engage lapsed customers and develop new business opportunities.
    • Filter new opportunities to Project Managers where appropriate.
  • Internal Collaboration & Administration
    • Maintain and update the CRM system to a high standard.
    • Liaise with other departments including: production, design, logistics, and accounts to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.
    • Attend and contribute to internal meetings.
    • Manage your own time, workload, and product knowledge development.
  • Events & Representation
    • Attend exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events to represent and generate leads.
    • Engage confidently with customers and industry professionals at events.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident and polite telephone manner with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • High level of computer literacy, including any CRM systems (training provided), accounts software and all Microsoft programs.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and multitask across departments.
  • Ability to listen to concerns and handle criticism professionally.

Desirable

  • Experience in a sales or customer service role.
  • Knowledge or interest in the entertainment or manufacturing industry.
  • Working knowledge of electrics or any related qualifications.
