Proactive are currently recruiting for a Plastic Vacuum Forming Technician to join a well-established manufacturing business.
As a Plastic Vacuum Forming Technician, you will play an important role within the production team, manufacturing high-quality plastic components using vacuum forming machinery. You will be responsible for ensuring products are produced efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up vacuum forming machinery for daily production requirements
- Select and load the correct materials, tooling, and moulds for each production run
- Monitor machine performance throughout the manufacturing process, making adjustments where necessary to achieve consistent results
- Complete in-process quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications
- Identify production issues and report or resolve minor equipment faults where appropriate
- Carry out routine housekeeping and basic preventative maintenance on machinery and work areas
- Accurately complete production documentation and quality records
Skills:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience operating vacuum forming machinery or similar production equipment is advantageous
- Good practical skills with the ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products
- Ability to follow work instructions, technical specifications, and production procedures
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexible approach to supporting different production areas when required
