We are currently recruiting for a Resident Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated warehouse operation in Burton Latimer. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong experience in warehouse automation, conveyor systems, and material handling equipment (MHE) to join a fast-paced engineering environment focused on reliability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding on conveyor systems, automation equipment, and warehouse machinery
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve system reliability and performance
- Ensure automation systems operate at maximum efficiency to minimise downtime
- Support breakdown escalations and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Coordinate maintenance activities within a fast-paced operational environment
- Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance
Requirements:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 / BTEC / ONC / HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Previous experience within an automated warehouse, FMCG, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Strong experience working with conveyor systems, warehouse automation, and material handling equipment
- Proven experience carrying out PPM, reactive maintenance, and fault finding
- Ability to work effectively within a time-critical shift environment
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) would be advantageous
