The Goods in operative will be responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and handling of goods in the stores department, ensuring compliance with quality standards and stock control. This includes stock control, picking, packing, and dispatching goods while ensuring compliance with purchase orders, mechanical drawings, and component specifications.
Responsibilities
- Receive, book, and inspect goods
- Ensure compliance with quality standards
- Correctly label and store goods
- Pick kits and issue materials
- Pack and label finished goods
- Control inventory and rotate stock
- Dispatch finished items promptly
- Prepare export documentation
- Maintain accurate stock levels
- Provide cover in any store location within the business
- Adhere to operational procedures, rules, and schedules
Required Experience
- General numeracy and literacy skills
- Proficiency in PC applications (Word, Excel, MRP systems, etc.)
- Manual handling experience
- Organized and self-motivated
