- 2X Machine Operators required to work for a manufacturing company based in Alton.
- X1 Day shift position: 8.00am-4.30pm Monday to Friday: £12.75-£14.00 per hour.
- X1 PM shift position: 1.30pm-12.00am Monday to Thursday: £14.00-£16.00 per hour.
Responsible for assuring product quality and packing of products for shipment. Use quality tools to support the team: audit inspection of finished goods, participation in defect identification and corrective actions teams, and maintaining quality levels consistent with Division goals.
Daily duties:
- Operation of production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Inspect production for quality on assigned machines according to the Product Specification Sheets (PSS) and ensure parts meet specifications.
- Communicate with previous and following shift personnel to alert for quality and production related issues.
- Ensure all parts are packed according to the PSS, packing info and making sure proper weights are being utilised.
- Prepare packing materials and ensure materials and labels meet specifications.
- Follow the ISO 9001:2008 / AS9100 Rev D system requirements to maintain the integrity of the system and our product.
- Work with the manufacturing and quality personnel of the team to identify suspected defects and work with the team to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Maintain standards of cleanliness of the production area and general work area supporting a 5's environment.
- Support team-oriented activities and demonstrate collaborative team interaction.
Required Skills:
- Highly self-motivated to learn and perform.
- Works with minimum supervision.
- Good standard of English, both written and verbal.
- Skills necessary to operate as a team player.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Must lift up to 15-20 Kg's multiple times per day.
