b Overview /b p As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will ensure the stability and performance of critical systems on a contract basis. You will work on-site in Gloucester four days a week, supporting DV-cleared environments and cloud-based services. You will leverage modern configuration management, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines to keep systems reliable and scalable. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate monitoring, security, and deployment practices that meet stringent UK government standards. This role offers hands-on responsibility and the chance to shape reliability at scale in a security-conscious setting. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Maintain and improve system reliability and performance across environments /li li Manage configuration with tools like Ansible or Chef /li li Orchestrate containers using Kubernetes/OpenShift/Docker Swarm /li li Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) /li li Monitor systems with InfluxDB, Prometheus, Grafana and respond to incidents /li li Integrate MQ messaging (RabbitMQ or equivalent) and ensure data flows /li li Work with relational databases and SQL to support services /li li Administer Linux systems and shell scripting /li li Implement security best practices across cloud hosting (AWS EC2/RDS/S3/Lambda) /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li DV cleared (live) /li li Experience with Terraform /li li Container orchestration experience /li li CI/CD tooling proficiency /li li Monitoring and observability tooling experience /li li MQ messaging integration /li li Relational databases and SQL knowledge /li li Linux administration and scripting /li li Cloud hosting experience (AWS) /li li Network security protocol understanding /li /ul ul li collaborative /li li proactive /li li clear communication /li li Ansible /li li Chef /li li Terraform /li /ul
