Our client is seeking a talented SITS Senior Application Developer to join their Information Services team. In this key role, you\’ll lead on the development and delivery of solutions within the SITS and eVision platforms, which are central to our student record system and digital transformation strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, testing, and integration of SITS and eVision enhancements.
- Create high-quality technical documentation and support application maintenance.
- Manage complex data processes using modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
- Take ownership of system upgrades and integration projects using APIs, XML, XSL, and STUTalk.
- Maintain data integrity and system compliance with W3C, GDPR, and Cyber Security policies.
- Collaborate across departments in a Matrix-managed environment, forming strong internal and external relationships.
- Support Agile and Lean best practices and contribute to continuous service improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience developing and supporting Tribal SITS eVision systems.
- Proficiency in web technologies and SQL Server /Oracle platforms.
- Experience with API integration , XML/XSL, and responsive Front End development.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently on complex tasks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of GDPR and accessibility standards.
- Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
Desirable:
Understanding of secure development standards (eg, OWASP) and UK Higher Education systems
