Our growing client is looking to onboard a Platform Engineer with 3–5 years of experience on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building infrastructure through code and thrive at the intersection of development and operations. You will contribute to the architecture and maintenance of infrastructure supporting modern cloud-native applications, working hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and containerised environments. This role offers the opportunity to help build a reliable, scalable foundation for the business’s applications and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain secure and scalable infrastructure using Bicep, YAML, and modern containerisation tools.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Support the deployment and monitoring of applications in Kubernetes environments.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers to ensure infrastructure meets product needs and is easily testable and maintainable.
  • Create internal tools and scripts to automate developer workflows and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Act as a liaison between development and operations, helping improve observability, reliability, and deployment resilience.
  • Promote infrastructure best practices, documentation standards, and knowledge sharing across teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a professional software or infrastructure engineering role, ideally within a larger team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools – especially Bicep and YAML.
  • Strong familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker, and ideally orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture, preferably in Azure environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills – you’ll be working day-to-day with developers, testers, and stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset – you're not afraid to take ownership, identify inefficiencies, and suggest improvements.
