Oracle Developer

We're looking for an experienced Oracle Developer to join a collaborative technology team supporting a suite of business-critical applications and databases.This is an excellent opportunity for an Oracle specialist who enjoys working across PL/SQL & SQLwhile also having the opportunity to contribute to application development, enhancements, BAU support and technical improvements.

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Location: London - Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)

The Role

You'll become a key technical expert across Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle APEX, working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders and be responsible for supporting and developing a suite of distributed Oracle 19c databases and the applications that sit across them. You'll work on a mixture of BAU activity, enhancements and new development, while also providing technical support and helping to resolve complex database and application issues.

Key skills & Experience

We're looking for someone with strong hands-on Oracle development experience who enjoys solving problems and understanding how applications and databases work together.

  • Proven experience in Oracle database development using PL/SQL
  • Strong SQL skills and experience using tools such as SQL Developer, Toad or SQL*Plus
  • Experience writing complex and performance-focused SQL queries
  • Experience debugging and performance-tuning PL/SQL
  • Experience with ETL processes and data extraction/transformation/loading
  • Working knowledge of database partitioning and materialised views
  • Experience working within a production/support environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • A good understanding of database best practices
  • Experience working within structured procedures and project lifecycles

Desirable skills

  • Experience with Oracle Forms 12c / Oracle Fusion Middleware
  • Oracle APEX
