Test Manager to join a high-profile technology transformation programme.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex, business-critical change within a large-scale retail environment.
We're looking for an accomplished testing professional with a strong track record of leading end-to-end testing across complex, integrated systems.
You'll be responsible for defining the testing strategy, coordinating multiple stakeholders and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key responsibilities include
- Defining and owning the overall test strategy, test plans and testing approach.
- Establishing clear test entry and exit criteria, governance and reporting.
- Leading System Integration Testing (SIT) and coordinating support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Managing end-to-end testing across multiple integrated applications and technologies.
- Overseeing defect management, test risks, dependencies and release readiness.
- Coordinating testing activities across internal teams, business stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
- Providing regular reporting on testing progress, quality metrics, risks and issues.
- Ensuring appropriate test coverage for business-critical functionality and customer journeys.
- Validating complex retail transaction scenarios, including pricing, promotions and commercially sensitive processes.
- Promoting collaboration and supporting the wider testing team through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Significant experience as a
Test Manager, Senior Test Lead or similar leadership role within complex technology programmes.
- Strong experience developing test strategies, test plans, governance, reporting and entry/exit criteria
- Proven experience leading
- System Integration Testing (SIT) and supporting
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Strong understanding of end-to-end testing across multi-system environments.
- Experience managing test risks, defects, dependencies and release readiness.
- Experience coordinating testing across internal delivery teams, business stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess quality, risk and overall test coverage.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong experience using
JIRA or similar test and defect management tools.
- Experience testing retail, EPOS, transactional or customer-facing systems
- Experience validating pricing, promotions and commercially sensitive transaction logic
- Understanding of supplier funding, rebates, retros or similar commercial retail processes
