Overview

In this senior role you own the enterprise Data Quality strategy and roadmap, partnering with business and technology leaders to embed quality across data creation, management and use. You will build mature Data Quality capabilities, implement frameworks and controls, and drive improvements across migrations, integrations and transformations. You’ll lead adoption of Collibra and Databricks Unity Catalog, and steer data quality initiatives across large, complex environments. This is a data governance and quality leadership role with a strong impact on data trust and regulatory alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the enterprise Data Quality strategy, roadmap and vision
  • Build and mature Data Quality capabilities across people, process and technology
  • Establish Data Quality frameworks, rules, controls, monitoring and issue management
  • Embed Data Quality into data migrations, integrations and transformation programmes
  • Lead adoption of Collibra and Databricks Unity Catalog
  • Improve data monitoring, reporting and preventative controls (quality at source)
  • Partner with Data Owners and Data Stewards, technology and business stakeholders to resolve complex data issues
  • Translate business, risk and regulatory requirements into practical Data Quality solutions
  • Act as senior escalation point for Data Quality challenges and provide expert guidance
  • Lead, coach and develop Data Quality specialists and foster data ownership culture

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in an established enterprise Data Quality function
  • Track record of developing and delivering Data Quality strategies and roadmaps
  • Experience with Data Quality frameworks, controls, monitoring and issue management
  • Experience delivering Data Quality capabilities across large or complex organisations
  • Experience embedding Data Quality into migrations, integrations and transformations
  • Strong understanding of Data Governance and trusted data
  • Hands-on experience with Collibra, Databricks Unity Catalog or comparable tooling
  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders
  • Experience leading and developing Data Quality professionals
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in practical business terms
