Overview
EDI Technician We are working on behalf of our client, a highly regarded logistics business based in the West Drayton area, to recruit an experienced EDI Specialist. This role offers the chance to join a dynamic, forward-thinking team and play a key role in delivering innovative EDI solutions to support business growth.
You will have hands-on experience delivering a wide variety of EDI interfaces, including APIs, and working with multiple EDI formats. Knowledge of platforms such as Seeburger, Inobiz, or Lobster EDI would be particularly advantageous. Experience with AS400 systems or Cargowise is also desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with internal staff, stakeholders, and external partners to gather and understand both business and technical requirements for new EDI requests.
- Collaborate with IT teams and external technicians to deliver robust, effective, and well-designed EDI solutions.
- Support testing, business implementation, and training activities as required.
- Monitor and enhance the performance of EDI systems, investigating/fixing errors and identifying opportunities for improvements.
- Assist with system upgrades and patches alongside the Infrastructure team.
- Stay up to date with trends in EDI technologies and provide guidance to management.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively across IT and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and build positive relationships across the business.
- High attention to detail with strong documentation and analysis skills.
- Solid understanding of IT concepts and adaptability to changing business needs.
- Demonstrated interest in business and business development.
Qualifications & Background
- Minimum of 2 years\’ experience delivering EDI solutions, ideally within the logistics or freight industry.
