Oracle Developer
We're looking for an experienced Oracle Developer to join a collaborative technology team supporting a suite of business-critical applications and databases. This is an excellent opportunity for an Oracle specialist who enjoys working across PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle APEX and Oracle Forms , while also having the opportunity to contribute to application development, enhancements, BAU support and technical improvements.
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Location: London - Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
The Role
You'll become a key technical expert across Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle APEX, working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders and be responsible for supporting and developing a suite of distributed Oracle 19c databases and the applications that sit across them. You'll work on a mixture of BAU activity, enhancements and new development, while also providing technical support and helping to resolve complex database and application issues.
Key skills & Experience
We're looking for someone with strong hands-on Oracle development experience who enjoys solving problems and understanding how applications and databases work together.
Proven experience in Oracle database development using PL/SQL
Strong SQL skills and experience using tools such as SQL Developer, Toad or SQL*Plus
Experience writing complex and performance-focused SQL queries
Experience debugging and performance-tuning PL/SQL
Experience with Oracle Forms 12c/Oracle Fusion Middleware
Experience with ETL processes and data extraction/transformation/loading
Working knowledge of database partitioning and materialised views
Experience working within a production/support environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
A good understanding of database best practices
Experience working within structured procedures and project life cycles
A genuine interest in Oracle database development and understanding the wider applications you support
