We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. You'll be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimising Azure-hosted environments, ensuring they remain secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective. Working closely with Development, QA, Support, and Project teams, you'll play a key role in platform improvements, deployments, automation, and supporting cloud infrastructure across a modern microservices-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and improve Azure cloud platforms and environments
  • Support deployment pipelines and continuous delivery processes
  • Collaborate with development teams on infrastructure and environment decisions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and application issues
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and performance optimisation solutions
  • Participate in paid out-of-hours deployment activities and support rota
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation and platform scalability initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years' experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role
  • Strong experience with:
    • Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines
    • Docker (Linux & Windows)
    • Kubernetes / Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
    • CI/CD and Continuous Deployment practices
    • Azure SQL Databases and Managed Instances
    • Azure Service Bus or similar messaging platforms
    • PowerShell scripting
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Application monitoring and logging tools
    • Experience supporting microservices-based architectures
    • Knowledge of IIS, SSO, Cosmos DB, NGINX, and Azure Application Insights
    • Platform performance tuning and optimisation experience
  • Desirable:
    • Bicep and ARM Templates
    • Cloudflare
    • Octopus Deploy
    • C#/.NET knowledge
    • Prometheus and Grafana
    • Seq, Loki, or similar logging platforms
    • Virtual machine administration
