BI Engineer
London | Permanent | Up to £65,000 per annum | Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Proactive IT Appointments have partnered with a leading British brand in their search for a BI Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a key role in the Business responsible for the delivery and development of the organisation wide BI infrastructure, bringing together data from our core systems to provide a single view of the business and its strategic partners.
Experience required:
Strong experience in data engineering, including ETL/ELT, data pipelines and modern cloud data platforms
Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling, Kimball principles and data architecture
Advanced SQL/T-SQL skills, including query development, optimisation and troubleshooting
Strong Python, PySpark or similar programming skills for data manipulation and automation
Experience integrating data from APIs, databases, files and other sources
Experience with data quality, pipeline monitoring and troubleshooting
Experience working with CI/CD, source control and DevOps practices
Experience developing and maintaining semantic models using Power BI, SSAS or similar
Hands-on experience with modern BI tools, preferably Power BI
Experience working in an Agile development environment
