Active Fire Engineer

Location: Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm and Maintenance Engineer to join our established team based in Marlow. This field‑based role primarily covers a 50‑mile radius, though willingness to travel nationwide and stay overnight when required is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend sites for scheduled maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency call‑outs, including out‑of‑hours on a rota basis.
  • Service fire alarms and extinguishers.
  • Maintain a high standard of client care in face‑to‑face interactions, telephone calls, and emails.
  • Ensure compliance with systems.
  • Optimize efficiencies by combining geography (travel time) and time required on‑site per task.
  • Record all activities on company software systems, capturing photos and report sheets.
  • Provide first‑class support and feedback to a diverse client base.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in all aspects of Active Fire Alarms and Maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage workloads effectively.

  • Willingness to travel with possible overnight stays when requested.

  • Capable of fault finding across conventional and addressable systems.
