Here, you can bring your whole self to work as part of a truly diverse organisation supporting both local and national customers.
As a SOC Analyst, you will receive comprehensive training in all aspects of Security Operations, using your academic background – and any relevant experience you may have – as a solid foundation to build upon. This is an entry-level position, so no prior experience in Security Analysis is required. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Liaising directly with customers to support investigations and provide clarity
- Reviewing authentication activity for suspicious or correlating failures
You will also continue to develop your technical expertise in areas such as:
- Operating systems including Windows and Linux
- Hosting platforms, enterprise systems and infrastructure
- Security products such as AV, IDS, IPS, SIEM, APT detection
- Vulnerability assessment and management
- Malware and Social Engineering
- Governance, Risk and Compliance, including standards such as ISO, and Cyber Essentials
What we’re looking for:
- A relevant degree such as Cyber Security or Information Security, achieved at a minimum grade of 2:2
- The ability to obtain HMG SC clearance
- A genuine interest in expanding your Cyber Security knowledge, along with a willingness to undertake further training as required
- The ability to document and explain technical information clearly and concisely to both technical peers and senior non-technical stakeholders
- A creative mindset with the ability to think “outside the box” and identify opportunities to improve existing processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work varying shift patterns in line with departmental needs, including: 12 hour shifts based on a ‘four on, four off’ pattern. Each shift includes a one-hour meal break and two fifteen-minute comfort breaks. You will work four-day shifts between 7am and 7pm followed by four days off, then four-night shifts between 7pm and 7am followed by another four days off. Weekend and public holiday working will be required where these fall within your scheduled shifts.
A diverse and inclusive culture where you’re encouraged to be yourself – and your best self – every day. Exciting career pathways supported by a flat structure that enables learning, development and progression. A strong commitment to your wellbeing, including private comprehensive healthcare. Generous financial rewards including a competitive salary and a strong pension offering.
