1st Line Technical Consultant – Glasgow Office
Proact IT is recruiting a 1st Line Technical Consultant based in our Glasgow office. In this role you will be responsible for event management, operational checks and 1st line incident management.
Requirements
We are looking for a dedicated, talented consultant to help grow our UK operations and support our European service centre. Candidates should possess a strong passion, commitment, and a desire to learn by doing. A full/clean driving licence is required.
Responsibilities
- Incident Management: respond to system‑triggered alerts, restart services, diagnose hardware failures and analyse logs.
- Operational Checks: ensure systems are functioning and conduct preventative checks.
- Event Management: analyse systems to detect and log incidents not raised by monitoring tools.
- Customer Services: support end‑users and internal teams.
The role follows a 4‑day on / 4‑day off shift pattern, rotating between days and nights. New incidents and alarms must be logged with the appropriate priority and resolved within contracted SLAs.
