Your new firm
Our client is a leading national accountancy firm offering audit, tax, advisory and consulting services with global reach and local expertise. As an independent member of one of the top 10 accounting networks worldwide they have access to over 40,000 professionals across 140 countries and more than 800 offices globally. Their Innovations team is driving digital transformation across the business with a particular focus on the Tax Practice - and they are now looking to appoint a Client Solutions for Tax Executive to be a key part of that journey in Manchester.
Your new role
As a Client Solutions for Tax Executive you will sit within the wider Innovations team, working closely with tax departments across the firm to deliver modern, technology enabled tax services. You'll leverage automation, robotics, data analytics and emerging technologies including Gen AI to enhance efficiency, quality and effectiveness across the tax practice. This is a genuinely varied role that combines tax knowledge with technology - supporting teams through legislative changes such as MTD, trialling new tax technology solutions, managing project implementation and helping develop best practice processes across all Crowe offices.
Key responsibilities include
- Supporting tax teams with new technology processes driven by legislative changes including MTD
- Completing day-to-day technology routines including automated email workflows, document management and data cleansing
- Assisting with research and trials of alternative tax technology solutions
- Supporting project planning and project management across the Innovations team
- Utilising emerging technologies including Gen AI and robotics to improve tax practice efficiency
- Working with specialists to apply data analysis and data science effectively
- Developing tax technology training content and supporting the Learning and Development team
- Visiting Crowe offices nationally where face to face support is needed
- Maintaining and enhancing tax software information on the internal resource platform
To be successful in this role, you'll need
- Experience working within the UK tax system in an accountancy practice environment
- Strong understanding of UK tax systems and tax software
- Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Comfortable working on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- AAT, ATT or CTA qualification desirable but not essential
- Tax Technology qualifications desirable but not essential
