A leading Top 10 advisory firm is looking to appoint an OMB Tax Director to take on a key leadership role within their Shrewsbury office. This is a high-impact position with real influence over a portfolio of owner-managed businesses while helping drive growth across Shropshire, North Wales, and into the North West.
This is a broad, senior role combining technical expertise with strategic leadership. You'll act as a trusted advisor to OMB clients on complex tax matters, while playing a central role in business development and cross-office collaboration. Internally, you'll lead from the front developing senior talent, embedding best practice, and helping shape the future direction of the tax offering.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading on complex private client tax advisory and compliance work
- Building and managing long-term relationships with high-value clients
- Driving business development and expanding a profitable client portfolio
- Providing leadership, direction, and mentorship to senior team members
- Contributing to wider business strategy and operational improvements
- Identifying opportunities to enhance and grow the service offering
About You:
- Currently operating at Senior Manager or Director level in private client tax
- Strong experience advising high-net-worth individuals
- Proven track record of winning and developing business
- Commercially minded with strong strategic awareness
- A confident, credible leader who can influence at all levels
- CTA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience)
