A professional services firm with a growing Real Estate Tax practice is seeking a Real Estate Tax Manager to support continued expansion in this strategic sector. The role offers a balanced mix of tax advisory, compliance and transactional work for UK and international real estate clients, including investors, developers, funds, asset managers and owner-occupiers. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across tax, transactions and advisory teams, including international offices.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of real estate tax advisory and compliance assignments
- Deliver tax structuring and due diligence support on real estate transactions and M&A
- Co-ordinate input from specialist tax teams (VAT, Stamp Taxes, Capital Allowances)
- Project manage cross-border assignments, working with international colleagues
- Support senior team members with client account management and business development
- Ensure work complies with quality assurance and risk management procedures
- Manage, coach and develop junior staff, including line management responsibilities
- Work collaboratively across service lines to deliver joined-up client solutions
Candidate Profile / Qualifications
- UK corporate tax experience, gained in practice and/or industry
- Experience advising real estate clients
- Aware of specialist taxes relevant to the real estate sector
- Strong project, people and client management skills
- Commercially minded with experience dealing with senior stakeholders
- ACA or ACCA qualified and/or CTA
- Alternatively, breadth of tax knowledge equivalent to CTA (e.g. legal qualification)
