R&D Tax Manager Glasgow £55,000 – £70,000 + Benefits + Bonus
We are currently working with a leading accountancy firm in the UK who are looking to bolster their innovations team with several key hires at R&D Tax Manager level.
Your New Team
You’ll be joining a dynamic and forward‑thinking tax incentives team that’s passionate about helping businesses unlock value through HMRC reliefs. We advise on R&D tax credits, Patent Box claims, and Capital Allowances – all powerful tools that reward innovation and technological advancement.
Your New Role
As a Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality advisory work across all the incentives we support. You’ll lead on client relationships, manage deadlines, and become a trusted point of contact. You’ll be hands‑on with technical and numerical aspects of claims, preparing formal reports and summaries that showcase the innovation our clients are driving. You’ll also be encouraged to take ownership of your development – staying sharp on HMRC guidance and legislation, and learning through real‑world application.
You\’ll be involved in:
- Leading client engagements and managing day‑to‑day communications
- Preparing technical documentation and supporting numerical claims for HMRC
- Reviewing claim workings and applying legislation to real scenarios
- Spotting opportunities to add value across the wider tax team and firm
- Proactively contributing to business development and growth
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
- A solid understanding of R&D tax regimes, including SME and RDEC claims
- Experience preparing supporting documentation and reviewing numerical workings
- A passion for client service and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects across a varied portfolio
- Analytical skills and Excel capability to interpret and compile claim data
