This Private Client Team works with a broad spectrum of individuals, trustees, partnerships, sole traders, and family businesses, supporting them not only in meeting their compliance obligations but also in navigating complex advisory matters.
As a Manager within the Private Client Tax team, you'll play a key role in leading advisory engagements, helping clients anticipate, plan for, and respond to tax developments in a way that protects and grows their wealth. This role offers genuine breadth, giving you the opportunity to manage complex personal tax issues, contribute to strategic planning, and provide trusted counsel on succession, structuring, residency, and more.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of private clients, delivering high-quality tax planning and advisory services in areas such as inheritance tax, capital gains, trusts, non-domicile matters, and business succession.
- Managing and reviewing the personal tax compliance process while identifying opportunities to add advisory value.
- Working closely with partners and directors on high-level planning projects and technical advisory work, often involving multi-generational wealth, family businesses, or international aspects.
- Developing and mentoring junior team members, fostering a learning environment with a strong focus on technical growth and client interaction.
- Building and nurturing strong client relationships, and playing a key role in business development and the expansion of our advisory offering.
- Collaborating with other departments to provide joined-up advice that reflects the full picture of a client’s financial affairs.
What We’re Looking For:
- CTA qualified (or equivalent) with strong technical expertise in private client tax, ideally at Manager level.
- Significant experience delivering advisory projects alongside compliance, with a commercial mindset and ability to tailor advice to client goals.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships, communicate technical information clearly, and build trust through insightful, client-focused service.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the confidence to identify planning opportunities and lead on their implementation.
- A passion for mentoring, coaching, and helping others develop their advisory skillset.
