A global consulting business based in the heart of the City is looking to hire a Personal Tax Manager to join its well-established and growing Private Client team. This opportunity would suit either an existing Manager seeking a fresh challenge or a strong Assistant Manager ready to take the next step. You will take ownership of a high-quality and varied private client portfolio, working closely with high-net-worth individuals and their professional advisors. This is a highly client-facing role from day one, with significant exposure to complex personal tax planning and advisory work.

Role

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of private clients, including HNWIs
  • Providing complex personal tax planning advice in a clear, commercial manner
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients and external advisors
  • Playing a pivotal role within the local tax team
  • Contributing ideas to improve internal processes and efficiencies
  • Mentoring junior team members and supporting their development
  • Delivering periodic technical training and sharing best practice

The ideal candidate

  • ATT qualified (CTA qualified or studying towards CTA strongly preferred)
  • Strong background in personal/private client tax
  • Comfortable dealing directly with HNW clients and stakeholders
  • Commercial, articulate, and confident explaining technical issues to non-specialists
  • Keen to develop, progress, and take on broader responsibility
