You'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of private clients, become their trusted adviser, and work closely with experienced Partners on a broad range of tax matters. The Role
- You'll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients including high-net-worth individuals, company directors, landlords, sole traders, trusts and partnerships.
- Alongside delivering an exceptional compliance service, you'll identify planning opportunities, provide practical advice and develop long-term client relationships.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the full Self Assessment compliance process from start to finish
- Preparing and reviewing complex personal tax returns
- Advising clients on Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, investment and foreign income
- Managing trust and partnership tax returns
- Handling HMRC correspondence, P11Ds and PAYE Settlement Agreements
- Identifying tax planning opportunities, reliefs and allowances
- Supporting clients with residency matters, inheritance tax considerations and capital gains calculations
- Working alongside Partners on more complex advisory projects
- Mentoring junior team members and supporting their development
About You
You'll already have experience managing your own private client portfolio within a UK accountancy practice and enjoy building strong relationships with clients. You'll ideally have:
- Strong UK Private Client Tax Compliance experience
- Experience managing a varied client portfolio independently
- Excellent technical knowledge across personal taxation
- A proactive, client-focused approach
- ATT, CTA or be qualified by experience
