Your new firm
Our client is a highly respected accountancy firm with a growing presence across the North West. Following sustained growth within their Private Client Tax practice, they are now seeking an ambitious Assistant Manager to join their Manchester office. You\\\’ll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking team, led by experienced Partners who are committed to developing their people and providing a clear pathway to Manager level.
Your new role
As an Assistant Manager, you\\\’ll work closely with senior leadership to deliver private client compliance and advisory services to a broad portfolio, including high-net-worth individuals and partnerships. You will take on responsibility for managing your own portfolio while supervising and mentoring junior staff, providing the perfect platform to grow into a future Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing complex personal and partnership tax returns
- Managing HMRC enquiries and drafting/reviewing correspondence
- Overseeing compliance work and monitoring time limits, elections, and deadlines
- Preparing tax computations and supervising the work of junior staff
- Producing client reports on ad hoc advisory matters
- Billing, budgeting, and assisting Partners with fee quotes and business development
- Maintaining technical knowledge and sharing insights with the team
To be successful in this role, you\\\’ll need
- ATT qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience in Private Client and Partnership Tax, with some planning exposure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise confidently with clients and colleagues
