We are working with a Big 4 firm and global leader in professional services, to recruit a Tax Manager into their market leading Private Market Funds team to support the work with alternative asset managers across private equity, debt, real estate, infrastructure and hedge funds. This role combines market-leading tax expertise in credit transactions, fund structuring, investment manager advisory and investor tax reporting. The client base includes some of the largest global asset managers and alternative investment funds. The team works with all alternative asset classes and includes the firm's credit and restructuring tax specialists.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in financial services tax, even if you haven't worked directly in this field before. You'll work alongside experienced tax professionals in a team known for its technical depth, attention to detail, and collaborative culture.
Your New Role will include:
- Advising asset management firms on the structure of the fund, the structure and remuneration of the fund manager, and the taxation of investment returns to investors and the senior management teams.
- Providing bespoke tax advice in relation to long-term incentives and complex fund investments for fund management staff.
- Reviewing corporate and partnership tax computations, as well as carry/co-investment reporting schedules prepared by the team for investors or the fund management team.
- Advising fund managers on the potential tax implications for their clients of making investments in certain Funds of Funds.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
- ACA / CTA qualification.
- Ideally experienced and has understanding of disguised investment management fee, carried interest and income-based carried interest UK tax legislation is preferred.
- Experience and/or knowledge of private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure or hedge funds.
