A superb opportunity has arisen within a prestigious and highly reputable accountancy firm for a career focused Personal Tax Senior to join their expanding Northampton office. As part of a bright and friendly group of personal tax specialists, you will have a large involvement in advising their client base whilst building upon your technical tax skills. Over the past 5 years, this award-winning accounting firm has dramatically increased the size and services in their Northampton office and is now the leading office for personal tax.
As a Personal Tax Senior, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from HNWIs, Entrepreneurs, and Wealthy Families. This role will suit a candidate who has 1st class communication skills as you will be advising clients on inheritance tax planning, trusts and estates, and residence and domicile issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing a varied portfolio of clients and acting as their main go-to individual for the firm.
- Overseeing and ensuring accuracy of compliance for your portfolio, as well as ensuring deadlines are kept to.
- Proactively supporting the junior personal tax executives in their development, particularly regarding more complex compliance work.
- Collaborating with the accounts, audit, and payroll teams ensuring a well-rounded level of service is achieved.
- Establishing a solid network of clients and seeking fresh opportunities to help develop the business by creating new contacts.
- Maintaining responsibility for your ongoing development within the firm and keeping abreast of changes in the market and improving your technical knowledge.
This exceptional opportunity would ideally suit an individual who is ATT qualified and keen to either continue with or embark on the CTA qualification. You will have good experience within personal tax and will be familiar with giving ad-hoc advice to clients on issues such as CGT, IHT, and more. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be keen to become a significant client-facing figure for a firm. Ultimately, you will be ambitious and focused on succeeding in tax with the view to make Personal Tax Manager in the future.
