We're working with a fast-growing regional accountancy firm that's investing in its Private Client Tax team in Birmingham. They’re now looking for a Personal Tax Senior Manager to play a key leadership role in the continued growth and development of both the team and the client base.
This is more than a technical role - it's an opportunity to influence culture, drive business development, and mentor the next generation of tax professionals.
The Role
You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team to manage and develop a thriving portfolio of private clients - ranging from HNW individuals and property landlords to entrepreneurs and family businesses. Alongside client work, you’ll be instrumental in recruitment, coaching, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading, developing, and growing the Private Client Tax team
- Managing a diverse client portfolio and providing high-quality tax advice
- Building a local network and developing new business opportunities
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff and helping them reach their potential
- Supporting broader practice development across the Birmingham office
This role has the flexibility to evolve depending on your strengths - whether that’s growing the advisory offering, leading on client development, or shaping internal culture.
About You
- CTA, ACA or equivalent qualification, with extensive personal tax experience
- Proven experience managing people and mentoring teams
- A strong communicator with a commercial mindset and drive to grow a business
- Comfortable building a presence in the local market and leading client relationships
