Our client is a rapidly growing Top 60 Accountancy and Advisory Firm with an established reputation for delivering high-quality tax and business advisory services to owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals. Following continued growth across their tax offering, they are now looking to appoint a Tax Senior or Assistant Manager to join their Manchester-based Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys advisory work and wants exposure to a broad range of personal and corporate tax planning assignments within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

Your New Role

Working closely with experienced Tax Managers and Partners, you'll advise a diverse client base including owner-managed businesses, high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and family-owned companies. The role offers a varied mix of advisory work across personal and corporate taxation, providing exposure to complex planning projects and the opportunity to build long‑term relationships with clients. With hybrid working and a high degree of autonomy, this position would suit someone looking for a flexible environment where they can continue developing their technical expertise whilst enjoying genuine work‑life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advising owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients on a range of tax planning matters
  • Supporting inheritance tax and estate planning projects
  • Providing property tax advice for individuals and business owners
  • Advising on profit extraction and remuneration planning
  • Supporting corporate tax advisory projects where required
  • Assisting with business succession and exit planning
  • Working closely with Partners on bespoke advisory assignments
  • Managing and developing client relationships
  • Liaising with HMRC on technical matters
  • Supporting junior team members where appropriate

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Need

  • ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (or studying towards)
  • Experience within Personal Tax, Private Client Tax or Mixed Tax
  • Exposure to tax advisory work
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach
  • Experience working with owner‑managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients would be advantageous
