Are you an experienced Private Client Tax professional looking for a role where you'll have genuine ownership of your client compliance portfolio and the flexibility to enjoy a healthy work-life balance? We're working with a highly respected accountancy practice that has built its reputation on long-term client relationships, technical excellence and a genuinely collaborative culture. As the firm continues to grow, they're looking for a Private Client Tax Compliance Manager to join their small busy team.

You'll manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, acting as their trusted adviser while delivering a first-class compliance service and identifying valuable tax planning opportunities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing a varied portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, company directors, landlords, sole traders, trusts and partnerships.
  • Overseeing the Self Assessment compliance process from start to finish.
  • Preparing and reviewing complex personal tax returns.
  • Advising clients on Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, foreign income and investment matters.
  • Managing trust and partnership tax returns, HMRC correspondence, P11Ds and PAYE Settlement Agreements.
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and supporting advisory projects, including residency, inheritance tax and capital gains matters.
  • Mentoring junior team members and helping to develop the wider tax team.

About you:

You'll already have experience managing your own private client tax portfolio within a UK accountancy practice and enjoy building long-term client relationships. Ideally, you'll have:

  • Strong UK Private Client Tax Compliance experience.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of personal taxation.
  • A proactive, client-focused approach.
  • ATT or CTA qualification, or be qualified by experience.
