A leading Big 4 firm is looking to appoint a talented Tax Assistant Manager to join its growing Audit & Accounting Related Tax Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong tax professional who enjoys working at the intersection of tax and accounting, supporting a diverse and high-profile client base ranging from fast-growing businesses through to large multinational groups. The role offers broad exposure to complex tax reporting and audit-related projects, working closely with audit teams, senior tax stakeholders, and clients on a range of technically challenging assignments.
You will play a key role in reviewing and advising on tax disclosures, interpreting evolving legislation, and helping clients navigate increasingly complex reporting requirements in a commercially focused way. Alongside the technical work, this position offers significant client interaction and the chance to build long-term relationships across a varied portfolio. You'll also work within a highly collaborative environment, mentoring junior team members and partnering with colleagues across wider tax and audit teams.
Responsibilities
- Review and advise on tax disclosures and accounting for tax, including deferred tax and financial statement disclosures.
- Interpret evolving tax legislation and apply it to complex client scenarios.
- Collaborate with audit teams and senior stakeholders on tax-related issues for diverse client portfolios.
- Engage with clients to explain tax implications and provide commercially focused solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and work with colleagues across wider tax and audit teams.
- Manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment and support client secondment opportunities where applicable.
Qualifications
The successful candidate is likely to be ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified with a strong grounding in UK corporate tax and accounting for tax, including deferred tax and financial statement disclosures.
