Our client is a Top 10 accountancy and advisory firm with a strong presence in Leeds and an excellent reputation across the UK mid‑market. They support a broad range of owner‑managed businesses, corporate groups and growing organisations, helping them manage tax risk and meet reporting obligations with confidence. With continued investment in their corporate tax offering, they are now looking to hire an Assistant Manager to support the team’s growth and strengthen client delivery.
Your new role:
As a Tax Reporting Assistant Manager, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of Medium Sized Business (mid‑market) clients, supporting them with their annual corporate tax reporting requirements. This role combines technical delivery, client management and commercial responsibility, with the opportunity to proactively identify tax opportunities and work closely with Partners and the wider tax team to deliver advisory support where relevant.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and approving corporation tax computations and returns
- Reviewing tax accounting provisions and corporate tax reporting requirements
- Undertaking tax assurance reviews where required
- Managing client relationships across your portfolio and acting as a key point of contact
- Negotiating fees, raising bills and managing WIP across engagements
- Identifying tax opportunities and collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver solutions
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- ACA and/or CTA qualification
- Strong experience delivering annual corporate tax reporting requirements for a portfolio of clients
- Broad technical knowledge across corporate tax compliance and reporting
- Commercial experience managing budgets, WIP and negotiating fees
- Strong client communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
